Dates for your diary!

A “Celebration of Life” Service.
Sunday 3rd December 10.30am

Have you had a significant occasion this year?
Maybe your wedding, a birth in the family, a Christening. Would you like to remember someone dear to you who is suffering? Maybe you have had a particularly difficult year. Maybe you have suffered the death of a loved one.

Why not join us for a Celebration of Life, to remember all those whom we love and have loved, to give thanks and offer up a prayer for ourselves, for family members, or those close to us. Whatever and whoever is on your mind, why not join us for this special annual service?

Hope Now is a mission that supports many, including orphaned children in the Ukraine. As one of the missions that Christ Church supports, we are this year collecting Christmas gifts to be brought in to place beneath the tree between 6th December, when the trees will be on display, until the Christmas Carol service on 17th December. After the Carol service, the gifts will be transported to Southampton, to their distribution depot after the service, to reach the children for their Christmas as the Ukraine celebrates Christmas in January. Gifts should be for a child, unwrapped, and placed in a Christmas bag. This is to ensure they get through the border checks, and that the people distributing them can give them to the most appropriate age group and gender etc.

All donations, as well as knitted goods for children, gratefully received!
